'So, uhh, hey John, what's with the Blake's 7 artwork?' ...good question. Well dear alter ego, here's the answer; it's a 'place-holder', a publicity inspired phenomenon which apparently occurs all the time. It will hopefully act as a sort of 'teaser' for what's to come and whet the appetite of the eager listener. There's been a bit of a dearth of Big Finish releases recently, those involving me at least, as you may have noticed and it was good to be able to post details of Dr Who: The Dark Planet earlier this month, which has now been released.
Next up in my sequence of Big Finish events is the release of Blake's 7: The Liberator Chronicles: Volume 6, which I recorded some months ago. The Volume 6 Box Set features three stories, Incentive with Paul Darrow as Avon, Steven Pacey as Tarrant and Adrian Lukis as Bracheeni, Jenna's Story with Sally Knyvette as Jenna and John Banks as Correl and Blake's Story with Gareth Thomas as Blake and Paul Darrow as Avon.
I'm not entirely sure now when this collection will be available; Vortex Magazine has it as an October release while the Big Finish website says November. Either way, not too much longer to wait and I'll post further details when the stories actually do become available.
Now, just because there haven't been many BF stories for me to talk about recently doesn't mean that nothing has been happening - quite the opposite in fact. However, as usual, I'm not in a position to reveal what I've been doing or hint at details of future projects until the appropriate time. What I can say, is that I'm hugely excited by what is coming up, that I'm pretty flat out in the studio for the next several weeks and I'm enjoying myself immensely!
A final 'next up' for me is to spend some more time soon with those fabulous folks at Red Apple creative to record another audio book, which I'm really looking forward to.
